Meet Angie

Angie understands what it means to build your life from the ground up. Growing up in working-class rural Virginia with no real financial security, she recognized the stress her family was under, especially when her father passed. Angie was left to handle expenses at just fifteen years old, and quickly realized she wanted more for her life, her future children, and her legacy. Shortly thereafter, when Angie had her own child and became a teen mother, failure was not an option for her, and she was determined to create a different future for her daughter.

Angie worked any job she could find, from fast food to banking, determined to break the cycle. That determination eventually led her to the financial industry, where she saw an ad for a bigbox firm and started at the bottom. She picked it up quickly and, within six months, was in management. Angie had finally found a space where she could connect with her community and help them build better lives. Eventually, she chose independence and launched Angie Dunn Financial because she was ready to stop trying to fit the mold of the corporate structure and step into the industry exactly as she was, bold, honest, relatable, and genuine.

At the heart of Angie Dunn Financial is the story of a woman who refused to give up. A woman who saw the best in herself and her community. A woman who decided to build her legacy around helping build theirs. Today, Angie continues her legacy of independence and perseverance by working alongside her daughter, passing down the knowledge, values, and work ethic that helped her build the life she once fought so hard to create. She uses social media, speaking engagements, educational content, and one-on-one client relationships to make financial education more accessible to everyday families, and she is passionate about helping people realize they, too, can rewrite their story and live a life that brings fulfillment.
